About Jack

I’m a software engineer with a passion for building efficient, full-stack applications that solve everyday problems. I’m fluent in Javascript, React, Redux, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, SQL, Mongoose, Express.js, MongoDB, and Github workflow.

I just graduated from App Academy where I spent 100+ hours a week learning new technologies and honing my coding skills in a team setting to solve unique problems. One app I’ve been working on as a team is LaceUp – a pickup sports application that allows users to connect and play sports with other people in their area. I’ve also just finished up LinkedOut, an online career focused site inspired by LinkedIn and by my love for social media.

Prior to App Academy I worked at a digital media agency for three years in NYC, as well as studied finance and economics in college. I'm very excited to take both the client facing and technical skills I've picked up and apply them to my career as a software engineer!

When I’m not coding, I love competing in sailing competitions, as well as going skiing during the winter. On a standard summer Saturday you'll probably find me jogging on the streets of NYC, or grabbing a beer with friends.
